Reduce Waste Disposal Costs
Both the food and plastic industries rely heavily on polypropylene Super Sacks (FIBCs) for bulk transportation and storage of ingredients like flour, sugar, rice, nuts, coffee, cocoa, corn, plastic pellets and more. Implementing a structured recycling program can help businesses reduce costs, maintain compliance, and enhance sustainability efforts.
Recycling Super Sacks benefits every industry by cutting costs, reducing waste and improving environmental sustainability. Implementing a structured recycling program helps businesses achieve economic efficiency while reducing your carbon footprint.
As part of our Super Sack Recycling Program, we will start off with a vertical baler and get you up and running quickly. All while saving on waste cost annually. These Super Sacks are only re-usable to a point and can only be baled in a vertical baler. A vertical baler can be placed near the dumping station to save on the labor to transport the bags across a production plant.
It takes about 125 bags to make a supersack bale. A large empty bag, without a plastic liner, weighs about 7 lbs empty. Typically, about a 7:1 compression ration versus a 3:1 garbage compactor compression ratio. Each bale is comprised of about 15-16 cubic yards and weighs roughly 800-950 lbs.
Once you have the equipment on site, you’ll realize the benefits of our recycling programs in no time. Give us a call today!
Popular in the Food and Plastic industries, the white polypropylene super sacks wear out, get ripped, torn or cut and are no longer reusable. If your scrap Super Sacks are piling up, switch to one of our sustainable recycling solutions today. Let us handle your FIBC and jumbo bag recycling with a VIM Recyclers program, we typically install a vertical baler for a monthly fee. Keep your scrap super sacks out of the landfill, reduce your waste cost and start your green journey with us now!
VIM Recyclers works with you to determine your current waste and recycling needs. We help you estimate your volume on a monthly basis and determine if your bags are toast or ready for a little more action. In most cases, it can be pretty obvious.
We estimate that you would need atleast 600 bags or more per month to help justify a baler just for this grade. We are able to recycle supersacks in lower volumes with our regular baler customers that are baling cardboard, multi-wall bags or films by coming up with alternative ideas. We implement either making mini bales or using gaylords if necessary.
We’ll help you to determine an efficient collection area and what equipment will best suit your needs. Once we get you up and running, we’re not done there. You’ll receive monthly reports that will help to monitor and optimize the process. Best of all, you’ll see results in reduced waste cost as well as waste reduction. Give us a call or contact us today and let’s get going green!
